FAQs
A quick guide on the important things to know about selling your home.
When’s the best time to put my home on the market?
There are always buyers looking for well presented, well priced properties and I can locate them at any time of the year. That said, if your home offers a particular seasonal appeal, it can be worth waiting for those months. The only time I recommend you avoid, if possible, is the Christmas and New Year holiday period (December 20th to January 10th) as it is very quiet then.
How long will it take to sell my home?
There are several factors that determine how long your property will be on the market. No two homes are the same. However, I work towards an average of between three and six weeks. You should also allow another two weeks to prepare your home for the marketing photographs and video for your sales campaign.

How can I make sure my home appeals to buyers?
The way your home is presented can make a substantial difference to the speed of sale and the quality of the offer. One of the most important yet simplest things you can do is put unnecessary belongings and furniture into storage. This immediately makes your home look and feel bigger. It also allows buyers to imagine themselves in the space more easily. First impressions are lasting, so it’s worth making sure your arrival area and street entrance are welcoming, and the garden tidy.
What about a professional stylist?
Buying a home is an emotional decision as much as financial. It is worth getting advice that may strengthen that connection. A professional stylist will make easy suggestions that will help your property look and feel its best
.
I have an excellent stylist who works with me who will give you great ideas about maximising the potential of your home. This involves a walk-through both the interior and exterior of the property for an hour. The stylist will be able to advise any changes and minor improvements to optimise presentation for sale.
